Hematology Biospecimens Subgroup
The Hematology Biospecimens Subgroup (HBS) is a subgroup of the Biospecimens Working Group and Clinical Data Standards Sub-committee.
Mandate of WG: The WG is focusing on immediate priorities for MOHCCN Gold Cohort approvals and data preparation for submission to digital platforms, in close collaboration with designated sites and MOHCCN/TFRI leadership.
The mandate of the WG is to:
- WG Responsibility: To provide recommendations on the sample preparation of liquid cancers biospecimens for MOHCCN, including acquisition, processing, storage, derivatives, quality management, release, and data. To ensure a fit for purpose collection to meet the needs of the MOHCCN, working alongside the Biospecimens Working Group and Technology Working Group to ensure alignment. To provide recommendations to ensure MOHCCN clinical and omics data models and ontologies are suitable for liquid cancers. This work will be performed alongside the Clinical Data Standards Sub-committee to ensure alignment.
- WG Strategy: Socialization of draft documents among the WG members to identify areas of question/concern, followed by discussion of the feedback for integration and finalization of the documents.
