New pan-Canadian project aims to discover if personalized lifestyle interventions can help improve the efficacy of prostate cancer treatments

A pan-Canadian team of researchers and clinicians will seek to better understand if lifestyle interventions such as diet and exercise can help improve the efficacy of prostate cancer treatments thanks to new funding from the Marathon of Hope Cancer Centres Network.

The project, which will be funded through the Network's Pan-Canadian Projects Program, includes researchers from Quebec, Ontario and British Columbia. It will be led by Drs. Vincent Fradet (CHU de Quebec Université Laval) and David Labbé (Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre).

“We believe that in the future, lifestyle changes will be a crucial part of personalized cancer treatment plans to achieve the best possible outcomes and improve the quality of life for cancer patients. This research is the first step toward that goal,” say Drs. Fradet and Labbé
